The Phlebotomy EdVantage Program is a partnership between Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Adult Education and EdVantage Training Solutions provides all the tools needed to pass the NHA Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) Exam and receive an CPR BLS Certification (AHA), develop your clinical skill set and elevate your career at no cost to the student or employer. 


PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • CPT Certification Exam

  • CPR Basic Life Saver (American Heart Association)

REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION INFO

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomy Technician within the last 3 years OR

  • Have successfully completed a phlebotomy training program within the last 5 years

  • Must have a GED or HS Diploma

  • Must be prepared to commit to entirety of program

  • Registration and Screening Process must be completed before admittance to the program


CLASS OPTIONS

8 hour Saturday (30 min lunch) - 8 weeks

  • 8a - 4:30p/ 30 min lunch

  • 1st Cohort Course Duration: starting the week of April 22, 2019

3 hours Tuesday / Thursday evenings – 11 weeks

  • 6:30p-9:30pm

  • 1st Cohort Course Duration: starting the week of April 22, 2019

10 hour week - Wednesday evenings (3 hours) / Saturday during the day (7 hours) – 6.5 weeks

  • 6:30p – 9:30pm - Wednesday

  • 10am – 5pm (30 min lunch) - Saturday 

  • 1st Cohort Course Duration: starting the week of April 22, 2019
