According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is expected to grow 23 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations, which are expected to grow around 7 percent. Having a nationally accredited certification, like the CCMA, can help enhance candidate employability.
The MA EdVantage Program is a partnership between Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Adult Education and EdVantage Training Solutions provides all the tools needed to pass the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Exam and receive an CPR BLS Certifiation (AHA), develop your clinical skill set and elevate your career at no cost to the student or employer.

REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION INFO
At least 2 years of experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant OR
Have successfully completed a medical assistant training program within the last 5 years
Must have a GED or HS Diploma
Must be prepared to commit to entirety of program
Registration and Screening Process must be completed before admittance to the program
8 hour Saturday (30 min lunch) - 8 weeks
8a - 4:30p/ 30 min lunch
1st Cohort Course Duration: Feb 23, 2019 – April 6, 2019
2nd Cohort Course Duration: April 13, 2019 – June1, 2019
3 hours Tuesday / Thursday evenings – 11 weeks
1st Cohort Course Duration: February 26, 2019 - May 9, 2019 | 11 Weeks
10 hour week - Wednesday evenings (3 hours) / Saturday during the day (7 hours) – 6.5 weeks
6:30p – 9:30pm - Wednesday
10am – 5pm (30 min lunch) - Saturday
1st Cohort Course Duration: Feb 20, 2019 – April 3, 2019
2nd Cohort Course Duration: April 10, 2019 – May 22, 2019
